sounds great, it is good to see that support is already that far!

this is what bugged me up front (and led me to the conclusion that
editing was not supported at all) - my recent ubuntu packaged versions
displayed song info in edit boxes that implied being editable - while
they were not...

this is a tough one. common user interface standards don't agree here either.

disallowing tag editing as soon as one file is not editable is the
most coherent...

i will sift through these asap, but what went to my attention

this is what i had in mind, editing caps directly inside the list
views. gtkpod does that in recent versions...

the killer feature is that you gain a ui for artist/album editing on
whole lists for free. have a look at the gtkpod implementation: it is
really nice.
