G'day everyone, On behalf of the Rhythmbox developers, I'm happy to announce the first release of the new 0.11.0 development series. Rhythmbox 0.11.0 "Rough in the diamond" has several new features, both user-visible and in the back end.
Rhythmbox now has a gapless-playback / crossfading playback backend, although it is not currently enabled by default, due to some known issues (particularly with visualisation). Thanks to Andreas Nilsson and Hylke Bons we have some shiny new Tango-style icons, which make Rhythmbox look better. We have also fixed a number of issues which were causing the application to wake up the CPU while idle, allow plugins to add GStreamer filters/tee'd elements and write modified playlists back to iPods What is Rhythmbox? ------------------ Rhythmbox is an integrated music management application, originally inspired by Apple's iTunes.
