Dear developers Reading the mailinglist, I see that there are strong feelings for the long time slider, and I completely understand why.
Personally I never use it, so it just takes up GUI space in my case. So I was thinking, what if the time slider is a "beacon" (that is what it is called right?) just like the volume control?
