Starting rhythmbox-0.13.2 on a live CD type distro results in a "snow storm" of
small windows complaining about, for example, missing libgpod so iPod
functionality will not work, missing libdmapsharing so upnp sharing will not
work, etc, etc

Is there a way to compile rhythmbox to disable these annoying windows?

As none of these things are required to play mp3 files locally, could the error
messages be passed more gracefully (i.e. to an error log, stdin or similar) to
allow the user to start rhythmbox in a resource saving minimum configuration.
The small error window could be generated when a user attempts to use the
functionality in question so that they know to load the missing libs.

Regards
John
