You can use a case-insensitive field type for this, for example <fieldType name="string_ci" class="solr.TextField" sortMissingLast="true" omitNorms="true"> <analyzer type="index"> <tokenizer class="solr.KeywordTokenizerFactory"/> <filter class="solr.LowerCaseFilterFactory"/> </analyzer> <analyzer type="query"> <tokenizer class="solr.KeywordTokenizerFactory"/> <filter class="solr.LowerCaseFilterFactory"/> </analyzer> </fieldType>
Of course, you'll have to adjust your datatype/schema to make use of the new type.
