Internet Explorer does not cache resources with Apache httpd+mod_jk frontend.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: RF-6733
URL: https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/RF-6733
Project: RichFaces
Issue Type: Bug
Components: browser compatibility
Affects Versions: 3.3.1
Environment: any server + mod_jk frontend, IE6-7
Reporter: Alexander Smirnov
The Apache Httpd server with mod_jk cuts some cache control directives. As a
result, Microsoft IE loads all JavaScript's, stylesheet and images for every
occurence, which significant decrease performance .
Possible workarounds are:
Using Http 2.x with mod_proxy, mod_proxy_ajp and mod_cache instead of mod_jk,
which was deprecated in favour of mod_proxy - NOT YET TESTED.
Use caching Squid frontend.
