progressbar working under 3.3.0 GA does not so under 3.3.1

We have several progressbars in our webapplication, which worked fine until we
migrated from 3.3.0 GA to 3.3.1 GA.
Under 3.3.1 GA it seemed that there arent happening any further updates (no
requests/polling), the bar remains in its initial state.
After rollback to 3.3.0 GA all worked fine again.
