Workaround Description:
add onsubmit="if(#{rich:element('vehicleSuggestion')}.visible()){return
false;}" to the onchange event and something like
<a4j:support event="onselect" >
<f:setPropertyActionListener value="#{suggest}"

</a4j:support>
to the suggestion box.
