Combobox: onSelect js event doesn't share information about keyCodes

We use the Richfaces combobox component. When a value is selected by keyboard
by enter we want to check the keypress event. After the keypress we want to
restore the focus when shift, ctrl or alt is pressed. The event given by the
onSelect event doesn't provide this information. The onKeyUp event is not
fired in this case. Can this information be provided in the request?
