extendeddatatable using rich:columns issue with filtering

I'm using extended datatable of richfaces and using dynamic columns with
filtering and sorting options.
I'm also using row selection for the same. On load the filtering and sorting
works fine.
If user selects any row which has a4j:support tag do some action and render
something.
Then filtering will not work. If we've reRender the extendeddatatable on
rowSelectionChange then filtering works as usual.
Can anyone suggest something to do without rerendering the datatable on
selectionchange.
