It's not a bug. There is an onlick handler defined for <rich:menuItem>. Since
all browsers except Chromium and Safari recognize 'click' with middle button as
the combination of mousedown and mouseup events they don't fire the onclick.
You can try to define onmousedown handler for <rich:menuItem> and all browsers
will fire it.
