Using IE 8, filtering and sorting works only once.
To reproduce it:
*Sorting*
# open
http://richfaces-showcase.appspot.com/richfaces/component-sample.jsf?demo=dataTable&sample=tableSorting&skin=blueSky
# click on the "Sort by Capital Name" link -> rows are sorted
# click on the "Sort by State Name" link -> nothing happens
*FIltering*
# open
http://richfaces-showcase.appspot.com/richfaces/component-sample.jsf?demo=dataTable&sample=tableFiltering&skin=blueSky
# select from Vendor filter "Chevrolet" option -> rows are filtered
# select from Vendor filter "Ford" -> nothing happens
