Karsten Wutzke commented on RF-12279:
-------------------------------------
I totally agree with that one. Using Tomahawk works, but having a simple
component that doesn't require a complete additional library is much beter.
Furthermore the text input and buttons don't automatically get the
skin-dependent RF look.
> Add simple file upload

> Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
> Components: component-input
> Affects Versions: 4.Future
> Reporter: Anthony O.
>
> Today, if I use JBoss 7 + RichFaces 4, I don't have any component I could use
> to simply add an input type file to a form, like
> [t:inputFileUpload|http://myfaces.apache.org/tomahawk-project/tomahawk20/tagdoc/t_inputFileUpload.html].
> See [that thread on JBoss Community
> forums|https://community.jboss.org/thread/195637].
> The problem is that it seems to difficult to use both RichFaces & Tomahawk
> libraries at the same time.
> So could it be possible to add a {{rich:simpleFileUpload}} for example or an
> attribute in {{rich:fileUpload}} which we could use to make it simple.
> Actually, if I use {{<rich:fileUpload listHeight="1" maxFilesQuantity="1">}}
> I must add a file with browse, *then* click on "Add" which is not really
> simple to understand (nor a web best practice) for users.
