MobileESP cannot replace a Device Description Repository (DDR) like DeviceMap,
it has a different (more narrow) scope. A good DDR provides more accurate
identification and additional properties of the identified device. This comes,
of course, together with additional complexity. This is also declared in
MobileESP blog site:
