Justin Rosenberg updated RF-12594:
----------------------------------

               Summary: rich:calendar defaultLabel causes conversion error if
not populated. (was: rich:calendar defaultText causes conversion error if not
populated.)
           Description: If the defaultLabel attribute is set for a
rich:calendar object and no value is entered, a conversion error occurs. It
seems like the submission is trying to parse the defaultLabel value into a
date. (was: If the defaultText attribute is set for a rich:calendar object and
no value is entered, a conversion error occurs. It seems like the submission
is trying to parse the defaultText value into a date.)
    Steps to Reproduce:
{code}
<h:form id="searchParticipant">
    <rich:calendar enableManualInput="true" value="#{bean.value}" id="dob"
locale="US" popup="true" datePattern="MMddyyyy" defaultLabel="MMDDYYYY"
showApplyButton="false" />

    <a4j:commandButton type="submit" value="Search" id="searchButton"
execute="@form"
                       render=":searchResutPanel"
action="#{participantSummaryManagedBean.search}" />
</h:form>
{code}

After submitting the form without inputting any data the converterMessage
message is displayed. Expected result is that "null" is submitted for the
calendar value.
