The built-in sorting is present as far as the JS API. The remaining step is to
automatically create the sorting controls in the DataTable renderer as is done
in the ExtendedDataTable renderer. If anyone wants to formulate a Pull Request
adding these controls, that would help greatly in bringing this issue to a
resolution.
