The Clunker has a Screw Loose

Spending tax dollars to demolish good running cars, affectionately known as
Cash for Clunkers, was a downright crazy idea.  Govt has done a lot of stupid
things in the past, but there is nothing stupider than wrecking 100,000’s of
perfectly good autos.  That is effectively, negative production. Everyone
should have realized back then this clunker had a screw loose.

Tax payer subsidizes $7,500 Govt Motors Chevy Volt bringing the price down
$33,500 per puddle jumper. That’s insane too.
The good news is: they still can't sell them.
Remember when the USA complained about Japan subsidizing Japanese cars?

New govt rules. Owers of older cars will be paying higher auto taxes; people
who can afford newer cars will pay less. This on top of the fact that older
cars are already more expensive to drive and maintain.
FYI. Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant; it is needed by oxygen-producing plants
just as animals require oxygen. Animals absorb O2 and exhale CO2; plants absorb
CO2 and release O2. Interferring with the balance of Mother Nature is unwise.

“When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain
permission from men who produce nothing; when you see that
money is flowing to those who deal not in goods, but in favors; when you see
that men get rich more easily by graft than by work, and your laws no longer
protect you against them, but protect them against you...you may know that your
society is doomed.
