Update: Fast & Furious This link from CBS is awesome. I sent muchof this info out earlier, but there is some big time updates. First, Fast & Furious was designed to deliver the guns to one certain drug cartel which would murder members of other cartels. This would explain why the Mexican govt never seemed to get upset when 40 Mexicans were killed with these weapons (the toll now is in the low hundreds). There is also a difference between the start date. I previously reported Gun Runner (under Bush) and Fast and Furious (Obama) were 2 distinct programs. The Bush plan was successful until the tracking devices placed in the guns or boxes were discovered. The Fast & Furious program did not track the weapons. The below link indicates the program was started under Bush. It contradicts what I wrote earlier. Which is true, I dunno.
