ACTION ALERT -
AMNESTY THERE SO MANY REASONS WE CAN'T AFFORD IT

The riots and social unrest we see playing out in Sweden, France and London is
the direct results of lax immigration policies and
a generous welfare systems. Sound familiar? They've flooded their populations
with millions of immigrants who have failed to assimilate into their societies.
Efforts to appease immigrants in each case have failed as demands for public
services and jobs increase.
Tension are high as the immigrants lash out at those who invited them into
their homeland and gave the food money and shelter. The immigrants are burning
cars,
buildings, assaulting police and fireman as the respond. Now
the citizens in those countries have had enough of the politicians and
the immigrants. Our media is not reporting these riots, yet!
When you look around our country you see the same scenario brewing, dial 1
for English  schools teaching in multiple languages through high school, entire
neighborhoods where not a word of English is spoke. Welfare and
social services are thrown at them by our government.
#1 on the
list would be our governments refusal to secure our borders and deport
illegal immigrants when found. We are brewing a new round of welfare,
medical recipients, drug and human traffickers.
The gang of 8 tells us 11 mln people are in the shadows, fact is they have no
clue
how many are here since they've been using that number for a decade. We
dare to tell you the number could be double that. The facts are we can't afford
to take care of the world and everyone who trips across our
porous unsecured borders. It's not possible or sustainable as they say.
Besides we've heard these promises before (video).
THE TRUE COST OF AMNESTY
The Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization
Act (S. 744)—commonly called the “Gang of Eight bill” after the eight
Senators who came up with it, Charles Schumer (D-NY), Dick Durbin
(D-IL), Robert Menendez (D-NJ), Michael Bennet (D-CO), John McCain
(R-AZ), Jeff Flake (R-AZ), Marco Rubio (R-FL), and Lindsey Graham
(R-SC)—includes amnesty for some 11 million unlawful immigrants. That
amnesty would further burden taxpayers and weaken our fiscal situation.
Congress should not rush to pass the bill without understanding the cost to the
American taxpayer.
We have more than $12 trillion in public debt and tens of trillions of
dollars more in unfunded obligations that we have no way to afford,
thanks to promises made by past and present politicians. With this in
mind, today’s political leaders must consider the fiscal impact of
amnesty and a path to citizenship that would enable millions of unlawful
immigrants to qualify for costly welfare and entitlement programs.
Leaders from both parties have repeatedly failed to consider properly the
long-term effects of their policies. That is why we are in such a
predicament. For too many politicians, long-term thinking extends only
to the next election, at most six years away. Unfortunately, the
Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the legislative branch’s official
scorekeeper, does not help much in this regard, as it often looks at
costs for only the next 10 years.
We’ve seen legislative myopia again and again as politicians put off tough
choices for the future or make our fiscal picture worse with new and
expanded government programs we cannot afford, like Medicare
prescription drug benefits or Obamacare. The biggest losers are future
generations.
Former House Majority Leader Dick Armey (R-TX) once noted that three groups
spend other people’s money: thieves, children, and politicians—and all
three need supervision.
Some amnesty proponents are trying to convince themselves that the
immigration bill won’t cost much. On the surface, they have some good
talking points, noting that “registered provisional immigrants” (the
name given to aliens who entered or stayed in the U.S. unlawfully but
would get amnesty under the bill) are not eligible for government
benefits. Of course that would last only until, at the very latest, they become
citizens. (More likely, there will be pressure in future years
to speed up both citizenship and eligibility.)
In just a short time, they would be entitled to the same massive array of
government programs as everyone else, including expensive retirement
income and health programs that are already severely underfunded. The
average unlawful immigrant has a 10th grade education, and low-skill
immigrants on average take more in government benefits than they pay in
taxes at every stage of their lives.
America’s families are already burdened with taxes to support a bloated welfare
and overburdened entitlement system that is badly in need of reform.
This situation would get far worse under amnesty.
CALL:
Please help us gather participants for this urgent call tomorrow
night at 7 pm ET - and feel free to also add your name to the coalition
letter against the Gang of 8 bill at http://www.stopgangof8.com/.
A helpful handout about the bill is also attached. Hope to hear you tomorrow
joining us!

Stop Amnesty!
Your Senators are home for recess this week.  This might be the last recess
before your
Senators will vote on the Gang of 8 Amnesty bill.  We need all activists
engaged this week in getting to your Senators’ offices to urge them to
vote NO on S. 744, the Gang of 8 amnesty bill.
Please join us tomorrow night, Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. EST for an
emergency call to action by dialing in:
Call in number: (760) 569-7676
Access Code: 457821#
The
call will feature Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama (subject to Senators’
availability), who has fearlessly led the fight to protect American
jobs from the well-funded push toward amnesty.
We will also hear from Dr. Betsy McCaughey, former Lt. Governor of New York
State and author of Beating Obamacare, a New York Times bestseller.  She has
read the Senate immigration bill and is joining the call to point out dangers
no one else is discussing.
We look forward to talking with you tomorrow night at 7 p.m. EST!

In the beginning...

The
real scandal is, how many scandals there've been in the last 5 years,
starting with the GM bond holders being cheated out of their rightful
due under the Bankruptcy laws; and the granting of ownership rights to
the UAW which had no legal claim. Rich Martin

The bankruptcy of Solyndra was not the scandal. The scandal was the govt
financing of the project (and at least 10 others) to the benefit of the POTUS
campaign contributors. Rich Martin

The scandal wasn't the closing of so many Chrysler show rooms; the scandal
was the selection process which targeted Republican-owned franchises in
favor of franchises owned by Democrat contributors as if they were the
spoils of war.

Quote of the Century

"The time to guard against corruption and tyranny, is before they shall
have gotten hold on us. It is better to keep the wolf out of the fold, than
to trust to drawing his teeth and talons after he shall have entered." --
Thomas Jefferson (1781)

Why we're fighting the farm and food stamp bill

Don't Let the Farm Bill Fool You
Dear Reader,
In 2012, the Senate passed a trillion-dollar farm and food stamp bill. With
your help, conservatives blocked that
disastrous bill, and Congress passed a one-year extension of the 2008 bill.

There is no such thing as
a permanent victory: the Washington Establishment is again pushing a
trillion-dollar bill that subsidizes wealthy farmers and funds Obama’s
food
stamp agenda.

We are back in the trenches, battling this nearly trillion-dollar bill. While
farm bill
advocates talk about some minor changes, it still costs substantially more than
the 2008 bill.

>> Don't be fooled: the new farm bill's
"savings" are imaginary.
1 in 7 Americans are eligible for food stamps. The farm
bill includes farm subsidies and food stamps so that all politicians
have the "incentive" to pass it. Food stamp spending still comprises 80
percent of the spending in the "farm" bill.

>> Get the facts: the farm and food stamp is a new,
massive threat to taxpayers.
Thank you, in advance, for joining us in this fight.
Sincerely,

Michael A. Needham
