Saturday, May 4, was the annual TX Bluebonnet Classic and IAHA Region 9 Championship. The Ride Manager is Edie Spurgeon and the Ride Secretary is Trish Dutton.
Just a note of thanks to Edie and Trish for the wonderful ride. It is well organized and run. The vets and their volunteers are just wonderful. The trails at the LBJ Grasslands are permanately marked and well established. There is plenty of water along the way and tons of wildlife...I mean the beast kind. However, there were these four 25 milers who were rather "gung-ho"! This was Topper's first 50. Thank you to the P&R volunteers and vets who gave us special attention and helped us finish. Out of 20 years in this sport, this was my first Turtle. What an honor!! I had fun from beginning to end. The TX Bluebonnet Classic is an excellent ride at a beautiful location. Thank you to everyone who had a part in this ride!! ===== Susan Young Casey, Princess of Pink, LIW, RRHA, RHS Semper Obliquo (Always aside) Glenndale Grace Farm, Ft Gibson, Oklahoma U.S.A. "Ride on!
