I'm curious about daily supplements of electrolytes. I've had some people tell me they do and others say it isn't necessary. We live in Tulsa, OK where the summers do get a little warm and my mare isn't the best of drinkers on the trail. We haven't competed yet and are only in the beginning stages of conditioning.

Isn't the purpose of electrolyting to replenish lost elytes? so why administer before the loss of sweat? Can someone educate me on this? thanks!! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
