Let us discuss on something concrete.

I do not believe that a database of powder patterns
needs necessarily to use all the definitions which are
in the Powder CIF dictionary for being a useful database.

So that, in 2 hours, I have built PowBase, containing 
now 2 powder patterns (and probably 30 in a few days),
searchable by keywords, and very simple to use and
maintain.

Tell me if this is what you need. Of course, it will
not be a PDF-3 challenger...
