Applications Specialist, XRD

Job Description

Skilled individual to become a technical expert in the field of X-ray 
diffraction in support of PANalytical’s day to day business.  This person 
will be involved in demonstrating X-ray diffraction hardware and software 
to potential customers as well as training current customers both in house 
and at the customer site.

Job Requirements

Daily functions include analyzing a wide variety of samples, teaching 
customers how to use X-ray diffraction hardware and software and providing 
technical support to customers, as well as, our sales force.  In addition 
the responsibilities, this position also include participation at 
conferences both as an exhibitor and a conference participant in the form 
of poster and oral presentations.  The ideal candidate will have a working 
knowledge of geology/mineralogy and/or cement. Strong communication and 
writing skills and the ability to function effectively in a team 
environment required.  Position requires approximately 50% travel, mostly 
US.

Experience

Hands on and theoretical experience with X-ray diffraction required. 
Experience in demonstrations, training and technical support preferred. 

Education

MS, or Ph.D. in Physics/Chemistry/Geology or equivalent + 3-5 years lab 
experience with X-ray diffraction. Ph.D preferred.
