Good afternoon, The Neutron Sciences Directorate (NScD) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is seeking a Neutron Scattering Scientist at the High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR) for the Diffraction group. As a neutron instrument scientist, you will work on two out of three diffraction instruments at HFIR (WAND2/HB-2A/HB-3A), based on qualifications and preference. Your core responsibility is to support powder and single crystal user experiments, implement technical developments of the beamline capabilities and perform a high-quality personal research program using the facilities at HFIR and the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS).
