As you all know I have been working on the dynamic aspects of the Edge Server. So far we are able to reload readers and do most of the operations required to allow easy development of esper applications inside the ES. Custom commands, reloading commands and a couple of other scenarios have proven to be far more tricky. I have implemented a COnfigurationAdmin service according to the OSGi spec that uses our persistence stuff to store and load configurations on disk. Right now I am converting the alien reader to work with this approach. We have mixed a couple of class responsibilities in there and I will have to detangle quite a lot of things to get the reloading of commands inside a reader to work. Right now the ALienReader in my workspace looks like a pig that swallowed a live grenade but I hope to stitch it together within the next few days. CU Jochen -- Jochen Mader - Technical Lead
