Hello,

I installed GNU Ring and I've been trying to get my friends to migrate to it. However, I'm having a difficult time explaining exactly how it works. The FAQs are helpful, however they still leave many questions unanswered.

I'll list the questions I received below:

 * How exactly do messages make it to their destination (P2P?
   client-to-client?, etc.)
 * How are messages encrypted? How do these certificates and keys interact?
 * How is account data on the name service kept? and can the name
   service administrator ease-drop on users?
 * How can I manage my nameservice credentials?
 * Why is it necessary to "register" new devices?
 * Are messages synced across clients? (in my experience, incoming
   messages sync but not outgoing)
 * Will calls ring and sync on every active client (did not in my
   experience)

I understand that some of these questions are somewhat technical and may be difficult to explain, however I believe that if users understand how the software works then they will have more trust and confidence in the software. Some kind of visual model, perhaps a video or overview brochure, will make it feel less ephemeral.

A sincere thank you for reading my lengthy email and the best wishes to everyone on the project.
