Hi,
Yesterday we merged profile support into the master of Ring GNOME, so now all
the desktop clients support profiles.

A profile is basically just a vcard representing the user. You can set the name
and image you wish people to see when you contact them.

For now this profile is only transmitted (via the text messaging system) when
you make a call to someone.

Now, when users first install Ring, they will be prompted to choose an image
(from the camera or a file), though they are not required to do so. Users with
Ring already installed will have a "default" profile created. All users can
change the name and image in the settings. Note that currently the default
profile will have the name "Default"... I feel that this should be changed so
that no name is set and thus the account alias is transmitted as before,
instead of "Default", but this is the current implementation in master.

Currently all accounts are associated with the same profile, although nothing
prevents us from implementing support for multiple profiles in the future.

This is a new feature, so there will surely be various bugs and desired
improvements.

Thanks!
-stepan
