The problems with Rio500Remix, I have been the beta tester for andrews
control for the past 4 months. The only bug left is a problem with
Windows98/95 the function call used to bitmap the font was originally
written in the unicode version of the API call. The call is only compatible
with Windows2000 I should have the fix for this in about a week. Look on
Andrews site for the update to the code.

Andy's source code is released. See the URL:

http://www.evilaliens.com/Rio500Remix.htm

Can somebody compile it for me and send it to me?

Ken Krull

This guy hasn't updated his page in 10 days and has not answered emails.

If I had some time on my hands I'd probably start porting the Linux stuff.
Great help would be to know how the original Rio500 driver can be used - but
Andy keeps his mouth shut.

Harald

I have downloaded the code today, but unfortunately, the Shell extension
didn't compile right away (a file seems to be missing, "afxres.h" or so).

I definitely plan to use the code real soon now ... but I guess I'll go the
DoB way (instead of the shell extension) and I am planning to do a straight
port of the Linux codebase using Andy's code for talking to the lower USB
layers.

How long can you wait? Would two weeks be soon enough? :-)

Harald
