You could always put in a AAA battery instead of the AA.
would invole soldering a wire and connecting with something like a
rubber-band
the battery life would not be as good, but better than nothing.

Since nobody has written to this list in a while, I figured I might as
well ask a question. Has anyone modified their pmp300 in any interesting
ways? I need some inspiration. I need to modify it because I lost the
battery door and can no longer use it.
