This applies to every type of flash media available on the market, Sony
memory sticks, compactflash cards, smartmedia cards, SD cards, MMC cards
,etc...  If it doesnt have a battery in it and it says the word "flash" on
it anywhere it will die within 10,000 writes or whatever the manufacturer of
the flash memory in the card specified. (some newer flash chips can handle
100,000 write cycles per memory location)  The only device that does not
have this limitation is a IBM microdrive, but those die if you look at them
funny.. (read that as they are very delicate)
