Yes, as of right now, all hardware probes, as long as they connect
successfully, will still receive updates up to the latest that they support.

That's correct, 5080 is the latest hardware probe firmware for v3, v4 and v5.
Software probes have newer versions, but we're simultaneously working on a new
hardware probe firmware approach with a common base for easier and faster
releases, while reducing the maintenance burden.
This does mean that there is a considerable 5080 population, but there's also a
bunch of software probes which are not updated.
