Dear RIPE Community, The deliberation period for RIPE NomCom is now over, and we have the result. We had a set of high-quality nominees, and it was a tough choice between all of them.
The RIPE NomCom selected Mirjam Kühne as RIPE Chair and Anna Wilson as RIPE Vice Chair. The selection result was declared and confirmed by unanimous consensus from the NomCom members, voting and non-voting. We selected Mirjam because the input from the community clearly favoured her. She is very widely regarded as someone who listens carefully to everyone and who helps the community to find consensus and move forward. It was also noted on numerous occasions that the community members are happy with her work as RIPE Chair. We selected Anna because of the positive input we received about her track record with the community. Mirjam and Anna also convinced us in separate discussions that they would work well as a team and complement each other. We would like to thank all other nominees for being prepared to serve the community and volunteering for the positions. Not being selected does not mean anything negative; it's just that the RIPE NomCom and the RIPE Community felt that Mirjam and Anna would be a better fit. The RIPE NCC Executive Board adopted a resolution stating that the RIPE NomCom 2025 followed the proper procedure. The minutes of meeting EB#184 are already published.
