I don't know who you were directing that at, but if it's me, I admit no such thing. What I admit is that there's a chance (personally, I think it's vanishingly small, but I am open to real signal analysis proving otherwise) that the difference in ram and cpu access patterns betweem flac and wav decoding on the SB2 could cause audible changes, via interference, when using the internal DAC (digital output - no chance - I can't see how you could introduce jitter that way). If, as has been suggested already in this thread, you are doing the FLAC->PCM on the server side and thus the SB2 is seeing EXACTLY the same data and handling it in EXACTLY the same way then I contend there is no scope whatsoever for any difference.
