I wasn't trying to re-define the word Ripping, mearly trying to point
out that Ripping means different things in different contexts and that
"20x Ripping speed" on a marketing sheet for some drive doesn't mean
you'll get 20x ripping in EAC Secure Mode. Many software rippers use
method's similar to EAC's Burt mode and this is why it makes sense to
do your homework on ripping software. 

Its typically recommended not to use C2 Correction with Secure Mode
since C2 doesn't always give accurate results. How big of a deal this
is in the real world is up for debate. Certainly Plextor is known for
very good C2 correction.
