That's my thinking. iTunes has a dynamic playlist that holds the recently added tracks. I think Slimserver needs a quick and cheerful "Scan for new music" but I wonder if there's some limitations to the way the iTunes database is scanned as I'm sure it's not a simple as checking the date-stamp on folders? Interestingly, my work-around works. Stopping the server while a new CD is ripped and then restarting it, makes the album available almost immediately. If this is the case, what does the server do differently when it restarts compared to what it does if you force a manual rescan? A manual rescan on my library, for instance, takes 35-40 minutes. I could've listened to the CD on my CD player in the meantime. :) -- NeilB ------------------------------------------------------------------------ NeilB's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2375 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=18291 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
