After setting it up on Linux, I use ABCDE on the Mac. In order to run it you have to install darwinport, which ports Linux apps to Darwin (Mac terminal). Check http://darwinports.opendarwin.org/getdp/ http://darwinports.com/
This is not an easy setup and install path if you're not already familiar with the terminal in OS/X and Linux, but well worth it.
