Well, Notmad says I have 4800 tracks in 580 albums on the Zen... but to be honest, there are still lots of mp3 files (mainly at 128kbps) still on there - last time I checked, they made up about 1/3 of the space. But yes, I do have thousands of CDs; though most will probably never get ripped (and plenty will never get listened to again either, I suspect!) > But why don't you buy a nice 250 GB drive, rip to FLAC > and not have to worry about ripping again? :-) Well, I have a nice big drive (and a backup drive). But the digital photos are giving the audio tracks a stiff fight... My ripping has reached a kind of hiatus; I've ripped all the really, really, really must-have-on-the-hard-drive albums (though I may want to re-rip many of those now!) For the next phase (the "really, really" albums, I suppose :-)) it's hard to know where to start; given that it will take months, which ones come first? And so I dither... -- Brian -- Brian Ritchie ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Brian Ritchie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2319 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=20357 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
