Ahhh yes - scratched CD's - all the more reason for me to digitize my priceless collection into a nice, lossless format such as FLAC. No more scratches!
I tried the little power one similar to the one sold at Radio Shack - it appeared to scratch my discs more than they were scratched prior to buffing, placing a haze on them that resembled the whirling mechanism.
