After struggling for *months* to figure out why Slimserver keeps showing
some dupes of Albums, with non-sequential listing of tracks, I *finally*
found the cause. My entire music collection is ripped to FLAC with EAC.
For some reason, a few tracks in the affected albums included the
"Discnumber" tag, whereas others did not. It turns out, neither Mp3tag
nor Tag&Rename show the Discnumber field in their default view, so I
kept missing the spurious ones. However, that column *CAN* be turned
on in Tag&Rename (not sure how to do that with Mp3tag). Not sure *how*
those tags got there, perhaps EAC pulled them off FreeDB. Now, after
spending a couple hours "purging" my FLAC files of rogue tags, I'm
*finally* getting a clean listing of Albums with Slimserver/Squeezebox.
