Did you install _exactly_ the same SlimServer version as before? If not, that could explain the difference you are seeing. Using the import cuesheet option with metaflac, it will insert the _index points_ of the songs in the flac file, not the text with names of songs. To check if your flac files have the index already in place do : metaflac --list "file.flac" and search for the CUESHEET block. If its there you are ok. I use flac files with both embedded cue sheets (in the Comment block) and external cuesheets (handy for burning backup copies of my cds in case of any problem). I have found that I need to be sure for the CUESHEET block to exist in my flac file, for Slimserver to treat it properly. When I rip CDS I use flacattack to put all the info on the flac file and at some point there was a version of flacattack that didnt insert the CUESHEET block automatically and none my rips were working OK, until I found that out. After that I managed to get a flacattack version with this CUESHEET block option available. Another thing I found for my configuration to work properly is that everytime I have a flac file with both the cuesheet as a _comment_ inside the file and the external cuesheet, then I need to save the external cuesheet file as UNICODE using word o notepad. If I dont do that, everytime a word inside the cuesheet contains an accented character I end up having two albums or two artists, or two songs, instead of one, with one of the two having a "funny" character replacing the accented character. -- Néstor Whole album Flac files --> Squeezebox (3) --> direct to Outlaw 7100 amp using Slimserver Preamp Vol Control --> Monitor Audio S6i ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Néstor's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=60 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=20978 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
