According to this post:

If you have overread turned on, you should have 'fill missing samples
with silence' unchecked (EAC options>Extracton), AND have 'delete
leading and trailing silent blocks' unchecked (same >Extraction tab).

Mine hangs on last tracks too, and I had both overread and fill samples
checked for whatever reason. I'm thinking that may be the problem for
both of us..

At any rate, I've never heard any artifacts from the hanging, but those
tracks will often not show up as accurate.
