This is all up to Slim Devices and the SlimServer implementation as to how/if it interprets and uses the information. I also look forward to the day when we'll be able to find all the tracks on which Doug Johnson was a performer, or composed by Jerome Kern. But I have a feeling this is all fairly low priority right now in the scheme of things. If I were a betting man, I'd say the basics of adding composer, orchestra, conductor so that classical music can be better catalogued would be a first priority, and even that is probably a way off in the future. My biggest concern with doing extensive tagging like this before there's better support in SlimServer is that you may screw up how things currently work. Try it on an album or two and hope that it's mostly ignored or that the server settings can suppress all the added artists this may create. You also may run into issues with these albums being marked as compilations. -- JJZolx Jim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=22333 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
