It seems as if the bitrate displayed would be the average for the file (although it is wrong) I say that because it does not change during playback and simply appears with the album and track information as general information. It would be nice if slimserver could display the actual bitrate during playback as does WMP10.
As far as the transcoding options for playing WMA lossless files....which boxes should be checked? It looks to me like slimserver is converting to flac or wav.
