Ah, that may be it... I've never succeeded in making MusicIP work (the Linux version still had issues with utf8 data last I checked and it got very slow analyzing some tracks -- like 30 minutes for a single track. "Spoken Word" seems to confuse it greatly. I'll try it again when utf8 works on Linux) so not sure how it works within slimserver, but I know that Slim can (does?) read tags be asking MusicIP about them.
