Start a track playing Look in your process list (Task Manager on Windows, or equivalent on your platform) You should see a process called mov123 - that's decoding the ALAC to PCM If you see a process called flac, that's recoding the PCM to FLAC so you're streaming as FLAC If you don't, it's streaming as PCM (WAV) If you see a process called lame, you're transcoding to and streaming as MP3 That's if the file is ALAC or AAC. If the file is FLAC you should see no processes running as it should be streaming the file as is. If you see flac it's actually doing it as PCM, if you see flac and lame it's MP3. -- radish ------------------------------------------------------------------------ radish's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=77 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24362 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
