Hmm... yeah I see your point. Of course, it makes some sense that you
can only edit the ablum gain because of course each individual track is
going to have a different track gain and thus it doesn't make a lot of
sense to enter a global value for all tracks.

What you really need, i guess, is something that looks at the gain
value and subtracks a user definable number from the existing value.

I've never heard of a program with this kind of functionality. I'd post
a message on Hydrogren Audio and see what the gurus there have to say.
