It's already 'associated', by running one of the programs from the FLAC
download pages Windows now sees the files properly.
They have a proper icon, and are listed with a Type of 'Free Lossless
Audio Codec Format Sound' :)

But, browsing from WMP File>Open, they are not listed as a Media Type. 

No problem, just a little odd.
I can still double-click on a file to play it via WMP, and even click
on the 'Play All' button to play the entire directory.

And if I leave WMP on it's own for a while, it seems to start reading
my music directory.  Not sure what it's up to but there's a constant
flicker of the drive light.........
