Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I very much doubt my Perl is better than yours - I can just understand the bits that look like Unix shell scripts! I've started reading a book on it though, so I hope it may make more sense soon. I think I'll email support for a definitive answer on this one ( & report back here).
