Do you really believe that?

It is trivial to hear the difference between 128, 192 and 240k on many
tracks, especially music with quiet passages or short attack on notes.

I can certainly hear the difference: perhaps not on "choose random cut"
stuff, but on something like a solo piano performance, or a
well-engineered album like much of Pink Floyd the difference between
128k and 240k is obvious.

Actually, since it is just bits: compare the bits. Much easier and
less biased.

Really? I doubt most of the Slim developers got a thing. Most of the
developers are not employees, just users.

For a CTO, you seem clueless about what Free Software is.

Again, most of the developers are not employees. SlimServer is Free
Software. The copyright is used to keep it that way (go look up
"Copyleft"), and Logitech didn't need to buy Slim Devices to get the
code -- anyone can download it.

What Logitech got was Engineering Knowhow from Sean, Dean, Dan,
Richard... and experience and reputation in designing and marketing
high quality equipment. It gives them a better rounded product line
(the "long ass virtual cable" device they already sell, and then for
people who want better remote operation and independence from staring
at a monitor, the Squeezebox or Transporter).

Why? You can't tell the difference between 128k and CD.

In short: you are a troll.
