No actually I am not writing nay tag in the files but I am letting
MP3Gain change the file (of course so far I am keeping a backup copy of
the orginals unitl I figure out if MP3 gain is deteriorizing the
quality). I want my files tt be as compatible as possible and able to
play on any device.

Well I would theoretically agree with you, but so far I haven't met any
song where I could hear any difference between Flac and [EMAIL PROTECTED] on my
pretty decent hi-fi system. I usually have a good hear (that's why I
noticed MP3gain muffling the sound).

So I am happy with the quality I am getting while saving lots of space.
Much better than many of the original CDs sold today.
